Aziza Sa'id is a well known Mid-Eastern Belly Dance performer, teacher and coach from Southern California. Originally trained in Denver, Colorado, Aziza now teaches and performs regularly throughout Southern California and the United States.

Aziza Sa'id is a well known Mid-Eastern Belly Dance performer, teacher and coach from Southern California. Originally trained in Denver, Colorado, Aziza now teaches and performs regularly throughout Southern California and the United States.


In 2001, Aziza won the prestigious MEDINA Middle Eastern Dance In North America competition and was first runner up in the Wiggles of the West competition. In addition to these events, Aziza has been a finalist in five other competitions, including Miss America of the Belly Dance and Belly Dancer of the Universe competitions.

Aziza teaches a wide variety of styles and props as well as veil work, sophisticated zill work and drumming. Her classes include precision movement, music interpretation skills, performance techniques and development of emotional range and expression.

Aziza focuses on helping each dancer develop his or her own style on a foundation of solid skills and an understanding of Middle Eastern music and culture. She has taught thousands of students of all levels and more than 5000 hours of classes, private lessons and seminars. She has taught for private organizations, community centers, schools and on the prestigious Seminars at Sea Arabian Nights cruises.

Aziza has been the featured dancer at a wide range of Greek, Arabic, Persian, and Indian restaurants including:

The Athenian in Huntington Beach, Ca,
Never On Sunday in Anaheim, Ca,
The Corona Cafe in Corona, Ca,
The Greek Village in Cathedral City, Ca,
Delhi Palace in Palm Springs and Long Beach, Ca,

and countless others. With over 3500 performances to her credit, she continues to be a regular performer at Greek, Persian and Arabic clubs, restaurants and events throughout Southern California.

Aziza has been featured on several cable TV shows and appears on the highly acclaimed videos Moon Over Denver Vol. 1 and Follow Your Soul with Morocco.

Aziza has been a regular contributor to a variety of Mid-Eastern Dance publications for over 20 years. Her credits include:

and other dancer's journals. She is a contributing author for the recently published Belly Dance Book by Tazz Richards. Aziza is also the author of the award winning Middle Eastern Dance website www.ZillTech.com.

Aziza has been the director of several dance troupes including the currently active pro/am troupe Anwar Al Sahaara and the American Tribal Style troupe Fringe Elements. Aziza and her troupe are available for performances including charity and community events.

In addition to Middle Eastern dance, Aziza has trained in Flamenco and Hula and is an active Ballroom Dance competitor.

In her other life, Aziza makes her living as an Engineer, designing and developing medical life-support equipment. And in her spare time, she creates web sites.
