HE’D KILL FOR A GOOD JOB IN TECHNOLOGY.

For years African-Americans have laid their life on the
line for their country. And many have built successful
careers as military leaders. Today, more than 20% of
our military is composed of African-Americans. And for
good reason. They are given an opportunity to live up to
their full human potential. Too bad America’s technology
industry doesn’t feel the same way. Less than 4% of
technology workers are African-Americans. And it gets
worse every year. From 1999 to 2000, black engineers
in the Pacific states declined 20% while black computer
professionals dropped by 38% in Texas. Last year alone
over 400,000 black workers lost their jobs while Congress
filled tens of thousands of tech jobs with H-1B-Visa
foreign workers. It’s time to do something. Write your
Congressional representative. Call the President. If
you’re willing to fight for your country, you shouldn’t
have to fight for a good job.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

• More financial help for historically black colleges
• Revitalizing the K-12 school systems
• Stricter enforcement of civil rights laws
among tech companies
• Immigration policies that don’t
displace black workers
